Kongsberg Digital Acquires Coach Solutions
Strategic acquisition accelerates expansion of the voyage optimization platform
Kongsberg Digital has acquired Coach Solutions, a leading supplier of software solutions for vessel performance and monitoring. Coach's vessel performance monitoring system was originally developed by Danish shipping company Clipper Group. In 2016, Coach Solutions ApS was established as an independent entity and experienced rapid growth, with its software running over 900 licenses at the time of acquisition.
Coach provides vessel operators, owners, pool managers, and technical managers with tools for vessel performance, weather routing, and noon reporting. These solutions enable customers to optimize energy consumption and receive updated weather routing guidance, supporting significant economic and environmental savings.
As part of Kongsberg, Coach Solutions integrates into Kongsberg Digital's Maritime Digital Solutions portfolio, complementing Vessel Insight data infrastructure and the Kognifai Maritime Ecosystem.
